The school is dedicated to the production of planetary geological maps of the Moon and Mars with particular emphasis to landing sites characterization.
The 2023 edition of the Winter School has been largely hands-on, with the inclusion of seminars and time for asynchronous interaction and individual/project mapping work.
Topics covered included: QGIS project creation, digitalization, and layout, hands-on mapping, hazard and trafficability of landing sites and machine learning applications for planetary geological mapping.
We encourage interested participants to review the content of the 2021, 2022 and 2023 Winter Schools. Additionally, the 2023 edition has a companion GitHub repository. Materials are available also from the Indico contributions page.
